Pike's Peak Mountain - (14,000+ ft in Elevation and tallest mountain to drive up):
One of our destinations was Pike's Peak. They call this mountain "America's Mountain." Everyone travels up Pike's Mountain to the peak. It is the tallest mountain to travel by motor vehicle. The roads were ridiculously windy and narrow. It was such an amazing journey up the mountain. Peyton and Khloe loved it! Our ears were popping every bit of the way up and down. Ha! So serene and peaceful, though. We discovered some snowboarders on the way up. You can actually see Pike's Peak as you are entering Colorado and it is miles from the start. The further we traveled up Pike, the more feet of snow we encountered. Of course, they do a fabulous job of keeping the roads extremely clear and dry.

It was good to experience it. We are happy for the opportunity. Weren't those roads crazy?!! And, did you notice how tall the snow was, beside our car, as we were driving up Pike's Peak?! Such a beautiful drive.
