Road Trip -- 11th Stop -- Hot Springs/Hill City, South Dakota

We woke up this morning and drove through Black Hills National Park (observing herds of Buffalo, Meercats galore and other wildlife). It's so neat seeing them in their natural habitat... and barely acknowledging that we humans are near. Spending the majority of the morning observing the National Wilderness, we headed to Hot Springs for lunch. We discovered a cute ice cream parlor (homemade waffle cones) in Hot Springs. So, OF COURSE, we had to take Khloe and Peyton! It was delicious. Homemade everything... and the owner was very nice! We took a quick trip to the natural (hot) Springs and then headed on to Hill City (where we would stay for the night).

Kevin and I found a great winery right in Hill City. So, we stopped briefly to sample their wines flavors. Honestly, it was some of the best wine we have ever tasted. The blend of berries they use in their compressors were genius! So, we picked up 4 bottles of wine and headed on to explore the city. Such a cute cowboy (wild west) town... Bringing Kevin to his roots (and our little lady, too). After an action packed day (and a little too much heat), we headed to our hotel.

These small cities were quite quaint. So cute. It was nice to spend a day here... We hand lunch in Hill City the next day before heading to our friend's wedding. Tomorrow is crammed full of more excitement! Tootles Cowboy Town!
