Kevin wanted to spend some time outdoors today. We all know that he is such an outdoors junky/ adventures enthusiast! His plans were to go on a hike after our Spring Family Photo shoot with our friends, Daniel and Chandi. However, it was WAY too windy to attempt pictures today (my hair would be hir d we did. The wind was not strong at all during our hike through the mountain. It was a nice day... maybe even a tad too warm outside for a hike. But, we made the best of our time.
Khloe has been having major allergies over the past few days, so we were concerned that it possibly wasn't the best idea to have her out in the middle of all the pollen. But, we did... and sometimes the best immunity/medicine is to dose yourself with the very thing wrong with you. It turned to be good for her... however, she tripped a couple times and was not a happy camper. Let me tell you, the hiking gear that some of these companies make are worth every penny, because they really do sustain comfort and prevent scratches and cuts (as they are highly durable to accidents). Khloe was wearing Columbia hiking pants and they really saved her little knees from her falls.
Peyton always goes hiking with Kevin, so to hike at a slower pace with his mother and sister was quite boring to him. But, he didn't really complain. He would hike many yards ahead of us and then stop and wait... pretty much the entire hike. LOL He's a good boy!
And, of course, we carried our camera with us to snap some fun pictures of our adventures! If you know us, then you can probably confirm that we never leave home without our camera! Mommy is ready for a new one... and I'll just pass my Canon on to Daddy for his outdoor adventures! :)
Here are some pictures from our hike through Mt. Kessler...
We are blessed to be surrounded by serenity like this in the Ozarks! I encourage all of you to get out with your families and discover the beauty around you... We live in one of the most beautiful places in the world!
